Description Photograph of Provost Sidney Guralnick presenting the IIT Hall of Fame medal and plaque to Benny Goodman. Goodman attended Lewis Institute in 1923 as a high school sophomore while also playing the clarinet in a dance hall band. The legendary orchestra conductor and jazz musician received an honorary LL.D. degree from IIT in 1968. Photographer unknown. Date listed is approximate.
