The UNIVAC 1108/II was one of the most powerful computers in Illinois at the time of its installation, and it replaced the IBM 360/75 located in the Commons basement. Glancy served as head baseball coach from 1947 until 1971 and as Athletic Director from 1971 until his retirement in 1983.
